Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between explosion-proof and marine-grade housings?
Explosion-proof housings (EXPTZ series) are ATEX/IECEx certified with flameproof Ex d protection method for Zone 1/2 hazardous gas atmospheres. Marine-grade housings (MarinePro/MarineCorr series) are optimized for C5-M salt spray corrosion resistance with nano-ceramic coatings and typhoon-class wind load ratings, but are not ATEX certified. Choose based on your primary hazard: gas explosion risk → EXPTZ; saltwater corrosion → MarinePro.
What camera brands are compatible with your housings?
Our housings are pre-designed for Axis (Q60, Q61, Q62, P56 series), Bosch (MIC IP, Flexidome), Hanwha (WiseNet X, PNM-9085), Hikvision (DS-2DF, Darkfighter), Dahua (SD6C), and FLIR thermal cameras. For any other brand, our custom CNC bracket service will design and machine a precision adapter from your camera's 3D CAD model — typically 48-hour turnaround.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Standard MOQ is 1 unit for evaluation and prototype orders. For bulk deployments, we offer volume discount pricing starting at 10 units, with best pricing at 50+ units. Our EXPTZ-Economy SS304 drops to $950/unit at 20+ quantity. Lead time is 4-6 weeks for standard orders, 8-10 weeks for 100+ unit EPC project orders.
What material grades do you use and why?
We use 316L (EN 1.4404) for premium corrosion resistance, especially in sour gas (H₂S) and marine environments. 304 (EN 1.4301) is used for cost-optimized Zone 2 deployments in desert or non-marine environments. For the most extreme conditions, we offer Grade 2 commercially pure titanium (ASTM B348) which is completely immune to chloride stress corrosion cracking with a 25+ year design life in seawater.
Do you offer explosion-proof lights, junction boxes, and cable glands?
Yes. We are a complete hazardous area electrical supplier. Our product range includes ATEX-certified LED floodlights (100W/50W), Ex e junction boxes (4-way and 6-way), and Ex d/Ex e dual-certified cable glands in M16 through M40 sizes. Ordering your complete electrical package from one vendor means unified certification documentation and consolidated volume discount pricing.
