What is an explosion-proof camera housing?
An explosion-proof camera housing is a specially engineered stainless steel enclosure designed to contain any internal explosion and prevent flame propagation into the surrounding hazardous atmosphere. Our housings are ATEX/IECEx/UL certified with Ex d IIC T6 Gb rating, meaning they can withstand internal explosions from hydrogen and acetylene gas mixtures (gas group IIC) and maintain surface temperatures below 85°C (T6 class). Each housing is investment-cast from 316L or 304 stainless steel and individually hydrostatic pressure tested.
Which certifications does ExProof Engineering hold?
We hold ATEX 2014/34/EU (EU Type Examination), IECEx Certificate of Conformity (international, accepted in 35+ countries), UL 1203 listing (North America), IP68/IP69K ingress protection, ISO 9001:2015 quality management, and ISO 14001:2015 environmental management. All products ship with EN 10204 3.1 material certificates, hydrostatic pressure test reports, and dimensional FAIR documentation.
Do you ship to the Middle East, USA, and Africa?
Yes. We maintain regional warehouse stock in Dubai (UAE), Houston (USA), and Lagos (Nigeria) for rapid delivery. Our products are fully certified for each market: ADNOC/Aramco 9COM compliance for the Middle East, UL 1203 listing for the USA, and SONCAP certification for Africa. We offer local currency billing and freight forwarding in all three regions.
